Six Poems

Six Poems photo

january

waylon in the kitchen
pancakes
the pain of a tattoo gun on ribs
coffee
orgasms
house music in a warm car

the way an
orangequat
can kind of
numb your
mouth

attempting to feel
anything even if it’s
of the nothing variety

fantasy

you feed
me straw
berries
off a knife

alabama summer

some days i feel
like kudzu—beautiful
but terrorizing
everything i touch

untitled

a little
grief
that you
can’t
tell anyone
about
because
you shouldn’t
be feeling
it at all

untitled 2

depression is
a tiny room
full of people
that don’t
believe you

psychopath

trying not to feel
jealous feels
like drowning
in shallow water
with a very large
crowd all cheering
for you to die
