father, son, and holy void

i no longer care
whose fault it was

which probably means
it was mine.

i could drive my car
into lake michigan

and wake up where
you are.

portrait of a fractal

the sunrise is still

worth being tired for

it's all small things growing

into less small things

if the moon was once

truly part of our world

maybe one day it could

find its way back home

in chicago you don't

need an alarm clock

in the future we'll all

be wearing gardens
